COVID-19 Testing in Indiana
On March 6th, 2019, Indiana had its first confirmed case of COVID-19. The first death followed on March 16th. At the time of this post, there are 1786 confirmed cases with 35 confirmed deaths. There's no denying that COVID-19 is deadly. But, with the lack of tests in Indiana, there is no way of knowing just how deadly it is. And this goes for the whole country.
Roche Diagnostics North America is doing everything it can to make the difference we need. Located in Indianapolis, Roche Diagnostics has spent the last six weeks developing a testing kit. Now that the test has gained FDA approval, they are preparing to ship 400,000 tests a week to labs all over the country.
The people of Roche are working. And working hard to get the tests out there. They are showing us that even in these hard times, hard work can be a change. Even though at that current rate it would take over four months to just test the population of Indiana, they are making a difference. Work can make the change we need.
